I am alive, I didn't have any inernet for a while so I took a little vacation haha. I'll have a couple of reviews soon.

I made my own nail polish!

Once again I was bored tonight, and I realized I didn't have any green nail polishes. So I decided to mix blue and yellow, here are the results.

I used china glaze's "sexy in the city" and nyx's "roasted". I call the new polish "envy" :]

I get really bored...

Battle of the Mascaras!: Covergirl Lashblast vs. Maybelline Colossal Volume Express

Why can't cosmetic companies just get along? :( When Covergirl's Lashblast first showed up on the scene it was the hot new thing, it's brush was unlike anything we lash lovers had ever seen! Then Maybelline came out with their Cololssal Volume Express (wordy title I know) trying to take over the competition. So which one is better? I'm here to help you find out.



Here's a comparison to the two brushes.

LASHBLAST: Covergirl's wand is a big longer then Maybelline's. Although, it is also bulkier. Lashblast's brush however is more compact then Colossal's. It's a cylinder with very short and tiny bristles. I have gotten mascara on my eyelid using this brush, but I rarely wear eyeshadow so it isn't a big deal. It could be though.

COLOSSAL: Maybelline's wand is wider, and it's bristles are also longer. I was a bit surprised by this. I thought it would have the short bristles just like lashblast. The brush kinda reminds me a swiffer duster, haha. Too me, the brush is nothing special it's the formula that counts. And for some reason the formula smells like my backyard, yeah.

BEHOLD! My plain lashes (and my freckles) in all their thin sparse-ness.

This is the result using Lashblast. Lashblast is a volumizing mascara. It does way more then that! This stuff curls, lengthens, and volumnizes. It definitely adds drama to lashes, which I love. Although, I could see myself getting in trouble at school for wearing too much mascara, ;]. If you're going to an event and you need a quick, cheap, mascara this is the way to go.

This is the result using The Colossal. Too be honest, I feel the same way about the colossal as I do about the lashblast. My mom said the colossal looked a bit more natural, and I think she's right about that. But even then the mascara's work almost identically.

BOTTOM LINE: A++ for both of these mascaras. You can't go wrong with either one. Although, the colossal is cheaper by a dollar I believe.

Beauty Supply Store Haul!

My beauty supply store always has AMAZING DEALS! And some hidden beauty treasures too. :] I even found the ESSIE MATTE FINISHER! It wasn't suppose to be available until August, but I got it! Mwhahahaha. I also got some Wet n Wild nail polishes (clear, navy blue, and black) , at first they sucked, but then they got better, weird. A Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme whatever whatever in Brick Wall. It's a deep, blood red, vampy color. Plus, some Brucci nail polishes. Their cutesy names remind me of china glaze, haha. I got 'emmi & olli go bananas' (yellow) and 'camille's a blast' (orange). And then a brucci fast drying top coat. I also got a Carmex lip curer, I never tried, so I'm excited for when my lips get chapped, ;]. Plus a Rimmel Sweet Jelly sheer lipgloss in Delicious. Then I went to the clearence isle and got a Clean and Clear Morning Burst Shine Control moisturizer. I always wanted to try it, and it was 50% off, so why not? Plus a Secret Apple Dazzle body spray, I love body spray so I just got it. And some deoderant cause I smell. =P

Review: China Glaze, Sexy in the City

THE PRICE:
Retails for around $6.50

THE COLOR:
I love china glaze nail polishes, even though I only have a few. Sexy in the city is a beautiful color. It's not quiet turquoise, but not ocean blue either. It's as if you took a neon blue, mixed with with turquoise, and then added a hint of shine. The point is, it's a unique color.

THE PRODUCT:
China Glaze nail polishes are sometimes a bit thick, which means it takes FOREVER to dry. Although, since it's the summer and I have no where to go, I guess waiting for nail polish to dry isn't a big deal. Besides the drying time, it's still good! With a nice topcoat, it shouldn't chip for a couple days.
